The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Gel Cream Review

Today I have another Body Shop review this
time it's not a face mask but keep your eyes peeled as there's another one of those on the way soon, today I'm reviewing The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Gel Cream. We are well and truly in winter now and the weather can really take a toll on the skin, I really wanted to get a nourishing cream that would stop my skin from drying out, originally I wanted the Oils of Life Revitalising Cream but it was out of stock so I opted for the lighter gel cream version.

This moisturiser costs £26 so it's not super cheap, it contains 50ml of product and it comes in a really pretty glass jar, I love the packaging!

The Claims
  • Dewy-fresh daily nourishing gel cream infused with 3 precious seed oils from around the world to replenish and revitalise skin.
  • Cold-pressed seed oils to preserve potent properties and ensure the utmost affinity to skin.
  • Melting but light and non-greasy.
  • Skin feels freshly recharged with moisture, appears visibly smoother and revived with radiance
My Opinion

Okay, so the first thing I will say is this has a fairly strong scent, I wasn't initially too keen but now that I've been using this cream for a little while it's definitely grown on me and I don't mind it at all now. The gel-cream formula feels very luxurious and hydrating but it also absorbs into the skin so quickly so it's a good option for those that don't like feeling greasy or for applying before make-up. I have noticed it has a very fine shimmer which is great for adding a little glow and giving the skin a little more life, I'm not usually a fan of creams that have any glittery particles in them as I find they are quite obvious in sunlight but I haven't noticed that with this cream which is great. Since I started using this cream I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin since using this product, my skin is super hydrated, no dry patches in sight! So, overall I would say the claims are pretty spot on, and I really love this cream I think I would definitely repurchase this again int the future (although I didn't actually purchase this, it was a birthday gift from my mum). I've been testing out a few Body Shop skincare products recently and so far I'm impressed if you want to read my review of the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask click here!
